As a player of 2 years, I have seen the game improve. It is improving. It is getting better. I have nothing but respect for the work and passion that goes into a project like this. I fully understand that this game is being made in such a way, in the open, that no other game is rationally made, and that it was the only way in the current climate of the games industry to get it made. I absolutely recognise that so much work goes into keeping this game playable. I expect I will take a lot of flak for posting this. I expect to hear "play something else". I expect to hear "well that's a you problem". I expect many to skim it as tldr. I expect to misunderstand the priorities. I expect to be wrong or misinformed about some of it. I expect I might not 'get it'. I say this, because I care. Yes. Server Meshing works, it is finally here, it is incredible. It now allows us to have game shards with—last I saw 700+ players coming and going between the planets of the two systems, bouncing somewhat seamlessly between connected servers. In your own words you now have the infrastructure to build to scale what you always needed to. The 30K disconnects are almost a thing of the past, now somewhat frequent server errors that fortunately correct after a reasonable amount of time with usually little-to-no harm to what was interrupted, which can be avoided if recurring by jumping to another part of the system in a lot of cases, thanks to meshing. Crash recovery (and using alt+f4) is fantastic, for getting back into the game within a reasonable time to resume things as we were. But—
