I don't know where to begin other than Master Modes outside Arena Commander is as much of a dogs breakfast as I thought it would be. And I'm not entirely against tying SCM speeds to weapons being active, but it's everything else that is terrible. I'm not even that skilled as a pilot, and but I feel like you think I'm too retarded and clumsy to fly the ships, and you've sucked all of the soul and cool factor out of flight outside combat. You've eliminated combat landings with the 13 m/s cap when the gear is down, you've made the skill ceiling for landing so low, it's where the skill floor used to be. Next is being forced to have the QT mode active to fly at high speeds, which is filled with excessively annoying HUD imagery, and audio cues, or we have the option of being in SCAN mode, but have like 90% of our flight controls locked out. And the transition between the modes is excruciatingly long, and it's like you intend to chase everyone that's not a murder hobo away from the game, and generate a couple hundred million in refund requests, despite having Yogi on streams saying you want this to be a PvE game that has PvP. The game defaulting you to SCM speeds every time you exit out of Quantum is annoying AF. The game not remembering your speed limiter setting when you exit Quantum is annoying AF. The game assuming you're retarded and can't handle tight maneuvering over 13m/s is annoying AF and it's fucking insulting too. I fear you've retained all of the wrong lessons from EVE Online, and have chosen to actively screw over the Carebears to favour the Murderhobos, and the game that we were all promised was a lie. I'm guessing you're committed to Master Modes and you don't want suggestions here, but honestly if this is the road we have to travel, NAV mode max speeds needs to the be the default/normal operating mode, with SCM mode being toggled when activating weapons, and the ship shouldn't decelerate faster than the retro thrusters would normally slow you. But that said, I have a major preference for tying max speeds and maneuverability to the power triangle, where 0 engine power and you have a ship that is limited to SCM speeds, and maneuvers like a brick through molasses in January north of the 20th parallel.
