Like many others I used to be a PVP enthusiast, while the old flight model was not perfect it allowed for personal expression through flight style. The current flight model does not allow this, every fight just feels like the same boring garbage. The restrictions on what you can do with your ship are absolutely HEIANOUS. If you were a good (or lets be honest even mid af) pilot in the old flight model you could win 1v4's through stringing out the opposing team (granted they were bad and didn't realize what you were doing) and taking 4 different 1v1's. You cant really do this in the current flight model due to the SUPER slow speeds. Also how the CINNAMON TOAST does the speed make sense??? so the Gladius has a scm speed of 234? m/s (I could be wrong but its around that speed) Thats roughly 523 mph, a GOLLY GEE WIZZ JOHNSON f22 can go 1500mph without using afterburners (yes I know they do not go this speed while dogfighting). You're telling me that a futuristic spaceship with the ability to leave the atmospheres of planets much bigger than earth can only go roughly 1/3 the speed of a current day fighter? WHAT IN THE CINNAMON TOAST IS THAT??? (If you're wondering why I use all these dumb phrases its because they used to be swear words but my orgmates told me it can get taken down for having those) Edit: also while I got you here is it just me or its weird that our "laser" guns are called that? Unless each shot somehow had an INTENSE gravity field around it making the light travel at the 1400m/s (or whatever it is they go) they arent laser guns. If they were actual lasers then they would travel at the speed of light and go on almost indefinitely (I'm not saying they should make them actual lasers since game balance and all that) but like realistically its probably some superheated gas that you're firing. idk like prosperous or something in a plasma state idk I'm not a scientist or anything. But then the vandul canons are plasma so idk what the lasers are supposed to be xD idk not a huge deal game mechanic wise I've just always found it weird
