First of all, thank you for your fine work on this new mobiglas, presented at the last ISC. However, we need to give you a little feedback on the overall readability of this new version before it arrives on the LIVE version. At first glance, readability is still the problem, especially in environments with a lot of bright detail. It's a shame, because with a few more adjustments, this new version would be very pleasant to use. Here are our suggestions (this feedback is done in stream with my viewers): - Add a depth-of-field blur to the background. Not only is this realistic because the eyes are focused on the foreground, but it's a very simple and effective solution for improving legibility without changing the aesthetic appearance too much. - Make text areas 100% opaque (black background). This is already done today with our transparent OLED screens or in VR, so there's no logical reason why in 930 years' time we won't be able to make opaque holograms. I absolutely insist on this point, even at 90% opacity, all it takes is a background that's too bright, like the star in the sky, for example, to make the interface unreadable. - For those who absolutely want transparency, add a slider to control the opacity of the background (as is already the case with augmented reality) so that you can choose the opacity yourself. - For points of interest on the StarMap, add an opaque background. Rectangle style with rounded corners, like the rest of the interface. Below are some examples from the ISC with images of the new Mobiglas in problematic situations. In this order: 1st image: Names of outposts unreadable on a white moon. 2nd image: Mission text in front of a bright area 3rd image: Too much detail in the background, the top right-hand box is ultra messy because of this. 4th image: The logo on the left makes the mission names unreadable. 5th image: Same problem as the 2nd but on a different page, this time the background makes the whole thing look very messy.
