Implementing a single shot hitscan weapon with high damage has effectively killed the point of maneuvering as predicting your opponent matters very little. It turns the game into a 100% aim battle as your opponent has no chance to break your line of fire or dodge your rounds. They are also incapable of outdamaging you if you're landing a similar amount of shots. They are currently doing 420 damage per shot, while the next highest damaging cannon in the size category is a vanduul cannon (already notorious for having higher than average damage) doing 376. While their fire rate is the slowest in the category by about 33% of the average, it is not enough to offset the ease of aiming and damage applied. Overheating also appears to be a nonissue at the moment for them despite all the heat warnings I was getting. As you can see in this video, I am literally not trying to outfly anyone and am dedicating 100% of my flying to aim and the fights aren't even close. If hitscan weapons are here to stay, they need to have the lowest damage output, not the highest unless there are heavy limitations on things like fire rate and power consumption/heat gen. In my opinion, they should not take the form of a cannon, but instead a tracking weapon to promote the healthiest gameplay.
