Trying to be brief, and to the point. Dear CIG, Good friends of mine and org leaders are dropping SC. They loved the game and it's apparent direction but right now they (and I) have forgotten why we loved it. There is no obvious direction for space combat, nor FPS combat; there is a community divided upon how combat should play out, and both 'sides' of the argument are now becoming increasingly hostile in forums- because we don't know anything! We are told we are able to contribute, and that our opinions matter. Please consider an improved outreach system that allows clearer communications between CIG and it's backers. And please provide direction on how you see combat (the most divisive element of the game currently) playing out in the final game. If the TOP QUESTION for RTV is actually addressed (https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/rtv-questions-needed-chris-roberts-q-a/1378269), please address this question fully with a significant amount of time invested in answering. A working example of poor communications: The current patch notes (build 846694) mention "fix a grenade issue" and "crucial logging". They also include what I perceived as the EXACT SAME patch notes as the last set, suggesting that there is actually no further change but you have included the patch notes anyway. We of course spend time testing the features listed and are once again disappointed. None of the other features have received updates (if I am wrong I will retract). Please improve this simple mistake by not letting it happen again. I am not anti-CIG. I am pro-SC.
