I wanted to give more global feedback but many people have already spoken about the problems of the 3.9. I will therefore focus on a subject that concerns me: piloting. Patch Notes: First of all, it would be really nice to put in the patch notes the changes made to the flight model and the ships, to know what we should test and what is a bug or not. Also a dedicated feedback post on the spectrum to give our feedback directly to the devs. Lift: the lift increase is a really good thing. Again it's hard to grasp exactly the modification without statistics but the difference is really strong, even on low atmosphere moons. Maneuver Thrusters: I think this is the main negative point of this 3.9. I'm not sure about the vision of the developers in doing this, but in practice I really don't feel like it's a good idea. Before, you had to play with your maneuvering thrusters to make nice trajectories and to be precise. Now you have to go100% on the axes all the time to try to do the same thing. In addition to wearing out our joysticks, it takes away a lot of possibilities in the flight model by reducing the overall skillcap of the game. This impacts all gameplays related to piloting, especially PvP which is seriously affected. I personally think it's a shame for a game like Star Citizen, which is based on personal skills and training. By doing so, you’re punishing the good pilots. It's a pity, I would find it more logical to guide those who are not as good to be better. In any case, I would like to be able to go back in time. I didn't have that feeling in 3.5 when the flight model changed. I felt like I was bad and had to learn how to fly again. It was cool. Right now I just feel like I'm limited by the game. It's frustrating and I don't think I'm the only one. The storms: it's something that has been bothering us since they appeared: the frequency is WAY too high. We have them almost all the time, we can't enjoy the game anymore, they're everywhere and we can't see anything. It would be wise to greatly reduce the frequency and it would give more charm to the storms when there are some. Another problem is that you don't know where they are by looking from orbit, they only appear when you're inside. Last thing about storms is the clipping effect. The volumetric cloud effect (fake) is looking really good. The particles work well. But the 2D clipping effect when you fly into a storm is awful and hurts your eyes. I was waiting for 3.9 to report it, thinking it was temporary in 3.8. Now it's not bearable anymore, it's absolutely necessary to remove this filter until we find a better one. That's it for me, thanks for reading.
