Have you any idea how much hydrogen an idle Ironclad uses a second? It's like the 8 litre American muscle cars from the 70's doing 10 miles to gallon - and that's all downhill. You can sit there on the hanger screen and watch the aUEC drain away second by second. I am expecting Jeremy Clarkson to pop in over my shoulder and intone how bloody glorious it all is. When ships pop up from storage, the engines are always on. If you land a ship in the cargo bay and store it, it comes up with the engines on - even though you stored it with the engines off. If you climb in, switch them off, then fly the host ship to another system, the engines on the ship in the cargo hold are on again when you reach your destination. With fuel become scarce and pricy, would mind awfully, making sure the hangar monkeys and hold pixies stop switching on engines by default! Pretty please?
