I just came across this: I tried Star Citizen so you don't have to! (and will tell you why you shouldn't) : r/gaming It is a thread bashing Star Citizen and telling people to not play it. It has 344 upvotes and 189 comments at the time of me posting this thread A notable quote from the OP: "You look at the clock. It's been 4 hours. You've completed no missions. Made no money. Encountered glitches and bugs at a mind boggling rate, and just maybe you think 'this can't be right.' So you google the problems you encountered and find 5 to 7 year old Reddit threads complaining about the same bugs. The top replies all fit the same patterns. Someone will say 'the next patch fixes this', someone else will say 'the last patch broke it again', and someone else else points out 'it's in alpha, there are going to be bugs.' Years ago." The top voted comment in the thread: "Admittedly it's been a hot minute since I tried it, but my experience was: Wake up in some random apartment Wander around until I found the spaceport Get into my ship Spend what seemed like a longer amount of time than it should have been to get from surface to space Start travelling to another planet Travel is slow, decide to check out the rest of my ship in the meantime Fall through the floor of my ship. Wake up in some random apartment" --------------- Folks that read my threads regularly, I do not complain about SC's bugginess just to spite CIG and all of us here, but rather because I care about the end product and want to see it succeed. Many of us have been persistently asking CIG to fix some long-standing bugs and generally-atrocious levels of network desync that plague this game I won't comment on the Moth release, I have not posted a single post about it. Others already have said everything. It is a sign of the times for this game. Now other players outside of CIG have taken notice of how poorly this game runs. Sadly this probably won't be the last time where someone on Reddit or some other gaming community will post that Star Citizen sucks and advise no one should bother playing it. I hope CIG can change their ways and transfer some resources from SQ42 over to the PU and invest in truly fixing this game before it is too late for the players who have stuck around
