Ship prices in game are way too high. For a new player with a starter it takes an absurd number of gameplay hours to get a normal fighter. Sure its early days but this is the kind of thing that will have a major impact on the future of the game, and even as a ballpark estimate the prices are way off. If people don't speak up prices will stay the same, because higher prices means more people willing to pay with real money. I have always said that SC isn't a pay to win game, but if these prices stay as they are it will be a pay to progress game. Some numbers. If we assume that a starter ship player can make 12kuec an hour(equivalent to three of the missions in the citizencon reveal) it would take 124 hours to get a hornet. It would take 94 hours for a buccaneer. If we assume you can play 3 hours a day thats 5.8 weeks for a hornet, or 4.5 weeks for a buccaneer. And you cant do cargo hauling because you don't have much cargo space and it requires a significant investment to get started. No to mention it is terrible gameplay for those who don't like trading. We shouldn't have a major increase in the amount of money earned by missions because of the inflation that would cause(making fps gear and components so cheap as to not be a meaningful buy). These are simply insane amounts of time for a single seat craft. I understand the prices on the hammerhead and other large ships, but single seater craft should be affordable within a reasonable amount of time. Two weeks for a buccaneer max, and three-four for a hornet. Source for ship prices: https://imgur.com/a/Gac8HIr Edit: How i got the 12kuec an hour number. Its three of the citizen con missions per hour. With a starter ship. Solo.
