Star Citizen has become genuinely unplayable. And no, this is no longer just the usual “it’s an alpha” argument. The current state of the game makes one thing painfully obvious: quality has been completely sacrificed for quantity. Faster patches, more features, more systems, more ships, more mechanics — regardless of whether the foundation underneath is already collapsing. And honestly, maybe the individual developers aren’t even the ones to blame. The poor dudes are probably doing everything they can to somehow hold this gigantic spaghetti code mess together while management keeps forcing more and more unfinished systems into the game. But THAT is exactly the problem: it genuinely feels like CIG has completely lost control of the project. Almost nothing works reliably anymore: - Login issues - Broken UI - Broken starmap - Broken missions - Constant desync - Insurance systems that make no sense - Paints disappearing - Servers dying nonstop - Inventory bugs everywhere - Elevators killing players - Ships randomly exploding The list is endless. Meanwhile, CIG still seems to have no actual long-term plan for ship balancing, yet they continue shoving new mechanics and systems into the game even though the existing ones barely function. And if you actually listen to the current mood in the forums and the community, frustration is reaching a breaking point. More and more backers are simply fed up — and honestly, who can blame them? How are we — the backers who made this entire project possible in the first place — supposed to believe that Squadron 42 won’t end up being the exact same buggy mess as the PU? CIG, enough is enough. Less feature creep. Less marketing. Less "soon" Start making the actual game function properly again before piling even more broken systems on top of an already collapsing foundation.
