Tested 3.17 wasted 2 hours nothing works. So I spent the first 30 minutes setting up my controls. Then the game server crashed and I was back at the PU screen. I was about to go claim my Ares Starfighter Inferno for the first time so I was kinda miffed. Cautiously I re-entered the game and checked to make sure my keybinds were all still there. Luckily they were GJ CIG I bet they are saved locally. My ship was still retrievable so GJ there too. Took a scan for data thieves mission. Get to the location and there is no way to scan for them and the mission can't be progressed. The Ares Starfighter either can't enter scanning mode or there is some other bug with this feature or mission. So I pick a claim jumper mission. Get to the location and I get swarmed by claim jumpers but I can't find any of the turrets. So I kill off 6 of the claim jumpers using half my ammo. FInd a single turret and it keeps dropping lock. Finally kill it and then another claim jumper and now I am down to 1/3 rd ammo. Search and I can't find any more turrets, still 4 claim jumpers follow me. Realize I don't have the ammo to complete the mission even if I find them so I quit the game and write this post out of frustration. It isn't that the gun on the Ares inferno is bad. It is that it is beyond bad intentionally, so that it can't be used to shoot down fighters. Well these are just mining vessels so I should have been ok but I was wasting a lot of ammo. WHy do you ask? Rubber banding. The ships are jumping and hopping all over the screen. Having a gun fire spool up time just makes it worse. Seriously the 20mm and 30mm guns in fighter jets don't have a spool up time they are electric!!!!! They fire when you pull the trigger. Yes I know you made the gun bad on purpose... and it shows. Why make something bad on purpose? That isn't fun. Also both of the missions I tried to run were broken. Why have broken content in the game? That isn't fun either. I suspect I will be 10 years older before this game is playable. I am already 8 years older than when I first pledged. good grief. Could you have made a worse 'Star fighter' if you tried? Like seriously I want my money back. It isn't even fun to test with? I wanted an A-10 and instead I got a dog.
