Every player I've met, carries a medgun. Almost no one I see carries a pistol outside of RP purposes, and of those I've asked, they know that the medgun is still the better choice. What was the point of the medgun occupying the pistol slot in the end? Most players are not keen on taking that out of their repertoire when they can just take out their pistols out of the equation, and bring in a 2nd gun(Like an SMG) as a back-up weapon instead.
