The current TTK changes are killing one of the best parts of Star Citizen: fighter vs. fighter combat. Back in April, dogfights were fast, decisive, and rewarded good aim, positioning, and commitment. If you made the right play, you got the kill before your opponent could simply disengage. Now? Every engagement feels like you're shooting at a flying damage sponge. This isn't because of one balance change—it's the combination of several changes stacking on top of each other: • Armor HP pools were added as another layer you have to burn through. • Shield HP was effectively doubled across the board. • Weapon damage was nerfed across nearly every ship weapon. Individually, any one of these changes might have been manageable. Together, they've massively increased TTK, especially in fighter combat. The result is that clean outplays don't get rewarded nearly as often. Instead of fights ending because someone flew better, they frequently end because someone has enough time to boost away, regenerate, or simply reset the engagement. Longer TTK doesn't automatically create better gameplay. In fighter vs. fighter combat, it often removes the tension that made dogfights exciting in the first place. A great dogfight should punish mistakes and reward skill, not feel like two ships endlessly sanding each other's paint off. I really hope CIG revisits the overall balance, because fighter combat was in a much more enjoyable place before these changes started stacking on top of each other.
