Hi all, As you all know, we now have a medium security (Stanton) and a low/null security system in-game (Pyro) and a low security system on the way (Nyx). This means that the entire gameplay area will still be skewed towards non-lawful game play. But more than that, there is also an issue with how Pyro is constructed. Let me give you the big issue. As per the original piece of lore, Pyro was meant to be a worthless wasteland. This was due to the fact that Pyro Amalgamated had completely stripped the systems of all its resources. Now we instead have a system where there are smaller pockets of very valuable stuff that can be mined and here is why it doesn't make any sense. If there where small pockets of materials valuable enough for a small mining outfit to get it, then a large company like Pyro Amalgamated would just have sent in a small taskforce or outsourced the job to a small mining company, with the appropriate protection in place. Here is my solution. First CIG needs to strip Pyro of all the valuable materials and put them back in Stanton (Terra, etc). This makes good sense also from the perspective that Pyro was abandoned by major companies. Second, CIG needs to increase the prices on certain commodities in Pyro, because they are lacking in availability in the system and there therefore is a high demand for them. Third, CIG needs to increase the security response in Stanton a great deal. Especially around the moons and planets. Fourth, CIG needs to increase the security around the stations governed CfP in Pyro. In general, for the larger gangs in Pyro, there needs to be a spectrum where the gangs will accept a certain degree of piracy in the vicinity of their stations and outpost, but too much and they will intervene. Simply because they are dependent on traders that can venture freely between Pyro and lawful systems, that are willing to trade with them. What will the gameplay implications be? Pirates will need to venture into more secure areas (higher risk) in order to get a high price or hope that some miners/traders will venture into Pyro to sell to a higher price. But they will also need to let some traders slip by, to ensure that traders don't boycott the system. There will be no need for industrial players to venture into Pyro in order to mine or sell their commodities, but they can do that in order to get a higher profit. This also makes sense in from the perspective that certain commodities are highly sought after / in demand in Pyro.
