So I, and many others, have been here on spectrum loudly bleating about the doom and gloom of completely altering the basic flight identity of the game overnight - noting that for some unknown number of backers the testing environment has become less fun to the point of being "unplayable". I know all but one of my SC friends quit overnight when MM in 3.23 dropped, including me. But I just noticed a surprising trend that shows it in stark releif - and I am curious how wide spread it is: Over the last few years, I have made a lot of "random" friends in SC. When someone in global needs a ride, or a turret gunner or mining crew, or refueling - I would often join their discord and chat with them while doing whatever they were doing. So I had gathered a good number of these "gaming discords" of small or large groups where they usually have channels for each of the games they play. Over time I discovered that if you see someone in a voice channel for a game you want to play, it's like a lobby to join and folks congregate on games they like, and will sit in the channel alone if they are waiting for someone to join them. I had a whole bucket of these gathered over years and almost all of them had an Elite and a star citizen channel. The Elite channels started to evaporate when they released Oddessey, but the Star citizen channels were pretty sturdy and had actually only grown as idiots like me get them into the game. However since 3.23, and the accompanying flight model changes, dropped - not only did I see complaints in those discord chats, but many of them deleted the Star Citizen voice channels entirely. This is my clearest evidence that whole groups of players have abandoned the game over this change. So I am curious. I have heard others here confirm they quit, and still others confirm all their friends quit - but who else has seen direct evidence like I have where entire communities just dropped support for the game over a single update? I have heard rumblings of Org managers who lost a substantial set of members, but I hadn't seen it with my own eyes till now. Please, spin me your stories of how Star Citizen lost you and your friends over this change. Thanks! (And note: If you are happy with it, awesome - go have fun - this is not a thread to tear down your fun, only discuss our lost fun and lost communities. So we don't care if you're sick of MM threads, until the game is fun for us again we are gonna be here talking instead of in the universe testing.)
