Before 3.10 you could cycle through targets ... any target that appears on your radar... and with one click you have the targeted and have target information displayed. It was simple, it was effective, it was fast, and it afforded you a quick an efficient way to scope out your situation and be aware of the situation you're in. Now you can only see what's right in front of you... You cycle through the targets in that cone, but you get NO target information until you take the additional action to Lock the target. To survey the targets in the area (Unless they're really cooperative and all group up in your front cone) you have to decouple and spin and take two actions per target to get target information... and then a third action to Pin it. Why? Why does it need to be more complex? What is the Positive gained from this? Suggestion: Simply go back to the old method and add a keybind to PIN TARGET... Then you have everything needed and it's Much Simpler. I'm really confused. EDIT: ADDENDUM - After sleeping on it and talking it through with a lot of people... here's my position now... Please remove the blinders, and don't make me blind over 270 degrees of arc... I need to be able to select anything on the radar, 360 degrees around Give me basis targeting information (Ship Type, and Squawked Information from IFF) on SELECT not Target. With these two changes I'd be OK with the new targeting system.
