The problem is the FLIGHT MODEL, power triangle, components and lack of diversity ... It's new and it will require tuning blah blah, heard that when 3.14 and the failed power triangle was put it and in never happened. In 3.12 we had AGILITY and the fights were FUN and dogfights that weren't joust fests and kept below 350-400 were epic. Weapons had options and mixed loadouts were viable. Yes the TALON was king but other ships could have been tuned up to match it, but everything was just tossed in the dumpster. You had Energy shields and ballistic shields. Distortion resist and reboot times on powerplants and coolers mattered. What components you put on a ship mattered to the outcome of a fight. You know you are gonna fight ballistics - rock palisades and sukorans and max that resistance. Or rock FRs for energy - or mix. Gatlings were usable and ammo counts were good. Agile dogfights with canons were fun and high aspect shot required effort and could be done. YES 3.12 had balance problems and the mickey mouse build was dumb and broken, ramming was an issue, EMP was too strong in some of the 3.9 - 3.13 patches and distortion was at times as well. c788 was super fun but broken at times. All of those negatives aside, if you took the MODES - (NAV / SCM) of 3.23 and put the FLIGHT of 3.12 with the limited speeds of today - the combat and flying would feel better and not be like shooting shotguns at each other in a mud wrestling cage match. The power triangle is a whole OTHER problem and CIG has made it clear that is hear to stay unfortunately. I would like to reiterate though - it is NOT the Master MODES - it is the flight, weapons, components. Yah yah - AlPhA and CIG has said components will matter again, etc etc. We were told that how many years ago and now we are starting over AGAIN with a D racing shield is the same as a A Mil Shield. We had all of this 3-4 years ago in 3.12. era. BRING THAT BACK - just slow down 3.12 speeds and ROLL WITH IT (ditch the power triangle)! Or just enjoy OMNISKY with HOSAM gimbles melting things and everything else collecting dust in the hanger (or Buccy JOUSTING) This Flight model is NOT fun, the sluggish ramp up and oversteer is not enjoyable. Atmo flight is even worse.
