Hello my dear friends in the Verse, Well, I've been here since 2016. I've had a lot of patience. What can I say? My patience seems to have run out. Star Citizen is taking on a shape that can no longer be ignored. Did we really need a Golem or a Geo? No, I don't think so? Would it have been wise to focus on the truly important things. Weekly bug fixes, perhaps? I think so. Is any of that happening? Hell, no. It's now April, and I don't see the promised year of bug fixes happening at all. What do I see? Ships are being nerfed so that the new ones sell better. Old ships that struggle with many bugs and balancing issues, such as the entire Vanguard ships or the Reclaimer, aren't being touched anymore. But they're being sold for a lot of money in the shop. For a long time, I had faith that CIG could really create an MMO that would have a similar story to World of Warcraft. I'd like to know, please, where is all the money going? It's almost $1 billion, but what happens to all that money? The smallest things in the game are missing. Why can't I tidy up my inventory like this and get a button to mark and destroy items? Why doesn't my bed respawn point work in 4.1? What are test servers for, and why are such bugs getting into the live version of the alpha? Bugs that didn't exist before! I don't get anything out of being constantly presented with random movies at a CitizenCon. A CitizenCon would probably be much more important, where the game's current problems are listed, how they intend to fix them, and within what timeframe. I'll be honest. But very little has been achieved with the money that has already been raised. And I mean that deadly seriously. It seems to me as if the money isn't going where it should. The game needs to be made bug-free and given a balancing polish. Who on earth uses weapons like the FL series or the Quarellers? Who uses scatterguns or cannons? That's right, almost nobody, because they're no good. There are so many weapons, but ultimately everyone just plays repeaters. Laser cannons use far too much energy and regenerate far too slowly. Ballistic weapons have far too little ammo. What are all these weapons for in the game if nobody ends up using them? There are good reasons for this, and these need to be addressed. There needs to be a way to modify ship weapons. Range, weapon speed, damage, etc. All weapon properties must be adjustable so that you can develop a reasonable weapon setup for a ship. These are important things. What do we gain if everyone plays Panther Repeaters in PvP and everyone plays Attritions in PvE? How long do you want to call this game Alpha? I have the feeling that in 20 years we'll still be talking about an Alpha as long as we can sell ships and generate revenue. And should every event and mission design now be designed around constantly finding key cards everywhere? Where is that creative? The core elements of the game feel like a terrible Asian grind game. Why do ships like the Redeemer have to be nerfed so badly that no one plays them anymore? WHY? You don't see a Redeemer anywhere. Not at any time. Why do you develop a dedicated weapon system for a ship like the Vanguard, but there are only four selectable weapons left, of which only the laser repeaters are kind of usable? Why does the Harbinger get a S3 turret, but the other Vanguards get an S2 turret? Large ships shouldn't have S2 turrets in general. Ground vehicles need a complete overhaul of their stats. What on earth does a Centurion with 20,000 HP and a 1.300 shield want? Any light fighter will destroy a Centurion in seconds. Is that the point of these vehicles? Are vehicle stats rolled? I mean, do vehicles go where? That's right, on the surface of planets. It's a lot of work to get them there and make them operational. But then they should also pose a real threat and have gameplay value. A Centurion should be a mobile fortress. Not a cheap tire rack that get destroyed by everything and everyone. What does a ground vehicle want with 4x S4 weapons? Who is that supposed to scare away? This thing should have 4x S6 weapons. Why am I mentioning these things? We already have plenty of ships and some vehicles to choose from. But what do you see in practice when you're out and about in Star Citizen every day? Right. Essentially, you always see the same ships and vehicles. So instead of adding things like the Golem or the Geo, you should rework the existing ships and vehicles and make them more attractive for players to play. With $800 million in revenue, I expect weekly hotfixes and regular adjustments and revisions to existing ships and vehicles. It's sad that we have so many beautiful ships and vehicles that are digitally decaying because no one wants to play them due to their poor potential.
