Dear CIG, The recent patch you posted the following notes with regards to ESP. Updated to a new algorithm for ESP. What I cannot for the life of me understand is why you are dampening/boosting us before we are even on target. The ONLY reason why Aim-slow-down (what ESP is) in some games dampens before your on target is because: There are no sensitivity curves in game There are no sensitivity curves available out of game aka consoles In almost ALL PC games that utilize Aim-Slow-Down (ESP) it NEVER slows you down or boosts you before your on target. NEVER. Why? Because we have: Sensitivity curves in game Sensitivity curves available out of game - via joystick or mouse options. Star Citizen players have access to both of the above so for the love of Chris Roberts QUIT DAMPENING/BOOSTING US before we get to the target. ESP is not some mind reader that knows better than me on how I plan to get on target. If I want 75% deflection now, I want 75% deflection and I will decide when to cut back to 30, 10 and 5% deflection. All ESP should care about is making sure that once I'm on target I don't deflect past the target on the initial deflection. Right now ESP is causing this yo-yo affect with the pilot because the pilot has to change their deflection constantly to adjust for ESP messing with it. I have attached picture of how it works in other games that don't have terrible Aim-Slow-Down (ESP). If your next "algorithm for ESP" doesn't follow the logic below, your going to end up with the same poor results. P.S. @Toysrme6v0 and I were the first to backers in this entire community to ask for Aim-Slow-Down (ESP) back in AC v0.9.0, we know how the hell its supposed to work. Do what other developers have done like the picture below and ESP will work a hell of a lot better. Thank you for working on ESP though, but please look at what other gaming companies have done to successfully implement Aim-Slow-Down. Golo
