Toxic Players - Toxic Feedback I've been dealing with some people who like things the way they are, and resist change or suggestions that would make some people have to actually do some work and think about what they do. Example: Having requested a color-blindness filter for people with very specific color blindness to be able to adjust colors that may look exactly the same or be unseen entirely, I've entroduced myself as an activist for people with visual problems, I've waited for such a thing to be considered a BETA post production filter for people playing Squadron 42. ACTIVE DUTY military members would not need to worry about these kinds of difficulties, because if the impairment was too severe in the field they were hired for, they would be reassigned to work they could do, if no work could be assigned - a medical discharge was given while they were still in basic training. WE ARE PLAYERS and not in active military positions where our disabilities have some meaning for the rights of people with mobility difference issues, and physical and mental impairments: we also have to be treated with respect on an individual by individual basis by Cloud Imperium when dealing with cases of disabled people in the work force and under warranty: One implied contract is always of merchantability. First it's Alpha, then it's Beta, then RELEASE for Merchantability: ...is the ability for someone to buy the product with the expectations of being able to enjoy it. No one buys something that NO ONE can use, not intentionally. Buying a used car that falls apart the moment it is driven off the lot is the reason for federal laws in place. It cost people huge amounts of thier savings to be able to drive something off of that vehicle sales lot, so it has better work for at least a few years, as was the implied expectation of any customer who paid such a price for a vehicle. The suggestion that players be able to block the individual with a meaningless rant isn't enough, because it becomes a forum for a discussion that isn't relevant being unmoderated by the person who started the thread; personally? If it's important enough to keep, it should be kept on their own personal page for reference, but if the person is blocked by the moderator, it shouldn't be a part of the conversation in the first place, because the input is unwelcome. If people agree, it can be agreed with, but not under someone else's discussion that has no relevence if replied to anymore because the toxic discussion has moved on, without the supervision of the person who started the conversation. Moved to a Reference: (Considered Off Topic) This removes the original thread moderator from needing to reply or understand any statements that were blocked and need to be unblocked to view. Please move blocked user's content that may be a long personal rant against someone as a personallity conflict problem, and migrate it back to their profile as a reference to a thread, so it can be re-introduced if the player becomes unblocked in the future, but there is no need to keep the hostility going between two people with different opinions, because of a failed Bill Board mechanic based on paper and thumbtacks. We need more accountability for people who post anti-social and disruptive posts that have nothing to do with the game, but about the character of the person they're in an arguement with. If the reference is toxic and off topic, it will show with the nature of the post, and should be considered "political"; if someone dislikes you personally enough to block you, then it's because diplomacy failed and someone considers you a lost cause, or the argument has no compromise.
