Dear Community Management, as a method to determine the will of the community I'm actually a little puzzled why this quite common forum functionality doesn't seem to be a feature here. It could actually be useful to reduce the amount of redundant posts about issues like i.e. whether the Valkry should have a cargo grid or not and similar issues backers seem to have with design decisions. I'm not actually saying the devs should follow polls each and every time as a majority vote isn't necessarily an indicator for quality (insert commonly badly perceived government here as example) which should go first but if CIG decides to go against popular polls they should at least react to it in one of the many weekly shows or reply to the polls directly and state their reasoning. This could further improve communication between devs and backers as dev reactions would seem less random like it appears now when they more or less mostly reply to threads when they feel generous. That's an impression I have - I'm aware there's Q&A and questions can get upvoted for that but that's questions only and in a way therefore only a top down communication without quantifyable community feedback and the same holds true for the "Ask the devs forum" which only rarily sees a dev response and quite frankly has too many questions as to expect them all to be answered without seriously impacting actual developement time. My concrete suggestion is: Let's have polls where the community can hope to have a proper effect on developement once it reaches a certain TBD threshold of votes which should then be addressed by the community managers in form of an official response and reasoning as to why developement will follow the poll or not. This way maybe less backers will feel ignored and hopefully the amount of salt posts lessens a little (yeah I know the last sentence might only prove my naivety). I hope this qualifies as constructive post. Now please everyone feel free to facepalm or thumbs up me as a testrun. Thx Edit: possible reactions for convenience
