We're supposed to treat each other with respect in these forums, be good, and often the moderators take issue with tone of responses, personal attacks, and such, and cite these Rules. But the Icons have the same message and effect as the Words the moderators strike and enforce against. The moderators not only don't enforce the graphical insults, but CIG/Spectrum enables it. This forum feature promotes and enables the use of disrespectful icons like - poo, hanky, snowflake, and facepalm - and any variety of disrespectful icons routinely used and intended to shut down conversation, to ridicule, to mock. Across almost all threads on a daily and ongoing basis. This feature by it's nature promotes a violation of the Website Rules & Standard of Conduct. Then entirety of the forums is smeared with their taint. :small_red_triangle: Just sayin', and sayin' it like it is. Mocking and derision are not necessary or appreciated, nor promotes good discussion or ongoing conduct; not promoting being good, or kind, or respectful. This kind of mentality bleeds into the gameplay experiences also, as we're already seeing.
