mostly spectrum. spectrum is handled by turbulent. turbulent does not consider spectrum a product. they don't even refer to it as a project. they refer to it as a "case study". if they are not willing to say "this is a product we made, and are maintaining". CIG needs to confront them about their lack of quality. i wanted to see who else they are outsourcing to to compare, but i can't find an easy source. faceware is taking some time to come out with a standard webcam. the only difference between it and other good webcams, is that the better ones normally go with a high fov. the program needs a bit of work, it does not appear to do well with the webcam placed anywhere other than on top a average sized screen, that is an average distance away. it is not even new tech, we had this stuff 10 years ago. it was just never put into a game. but i know that the challenge is not in tracking the face, it is in making it reliable and efficient. i am happy with how it is coming along.
