We can all agree that a dark mode theme is a good thing to have as an option, and there is one that currently exists. However: The current dark mode is pretty dang bright. It is brighter than my IDE's dark mode theme, my OS's dark mode theme, my phone's, even my email. I have some sensory processing issues; bright colors make things harder to work with, particularly into the evening (when I have the most time to hang out with this fine community) - and the amount of blue is mildly eye searing (although nice in the morning). My proposals are thusly: Either that the current dark mode be darkened to be moar darker, or that we be given the ability to create custom themes for personal use. The latter option would give those of us with specific brightness and contrast requirements for accessibility the ability to customize things to our particular needs, such as my father's high-contrast, large font needs or my smaller-font, lower-contrast, low-light needs. And the most amazing option of all would be the ability to have both.
