I'm dragging this over from the RSI form (the *real one*) because, I hate you..... In all honesty, CIG/Turbulent should bitch-slap-the-hipster out of whoever made "HOT" the default forum tab. That ONE thing alone will make the whole SPECTWIT experience seem alien to the users from the RSI forums (especially the old farts like me who don't like to be led like friggin' sheep). Yes, options are there. But who died and made Turbulent God over how to present this experience to the friggin' public? WebFail 101 I've seen the days of NNTP boards (I bet less than 1/10 of 1% of the backers even know what they are). I've seen the rise and fall or HTML boards. I've worked in SQL and gawd only knows how may other forum codes. Vanilla isn't bad. Isn't great either unless all involved are onboard. But it's easy to work with. CIG tries too hard to be "hipster" for their own good. Let's have an orgy with Discord, Tweetertwit, Redditwit.....and the result: "DISPECRTWIT" (now if they could just make all posts disappear every 10 seconds we'd be ultimately hip !) Sure, everyone loves fast scrolling chat (except...not) psss: set the default forum filter to "Newest" and more existing RSI forum users will recognize the bloody mess when you nuke the RSI forums w/o warning pssss: where's the damned "Preview" function for posts?
