When you quote someone, it'd be nice if you could NOT quote the ENTIRE quote. I get that some mischievous types might edit someone else's quotes, but for every one time that happens (and isn't called out for some reason) about 800 zillion people simply want to quote the portion of the text they are addressing (maybe as little as a sentence) as opposed to an entire wall o' text that they have to do now.
