One thing that always comes up for me, and is mentioned by new and old citizens alike, is that since there are so many studios and many citizens are on different time zones it can be hard to know when events start or sales end. With this in mind I wanted to suggest a possible solution that can be implemented though Spectrum to help stop innocent misinformation and confusion. You can view the images looking at the top right to see what I mean. Drop Down List Explained: Your local time is always listed, you can pick from the drop down list next to it to show the time or event you want to display. You can also set reminders for events. Local time: Your Local time, mostly just to look good and easily compare. Studios: Lists each studio and its local time. Helpful for when knowing when certain devs might in be chat or when an update organized by a specific studio will most likely happen. Sales: A common issue I have and what is brought up by many citizens new and old, is that alot of sales either list the end or start date hidden in a hard to find post or hidden within a long article. On top of this when there are week long sales with constant changing ships on sale a common oversight occurs. Often in the new article or edit of the article the sale end time is removed causing confusion. Also sometimes in QnA and similar articles that might get released omit the sale end dates. On top of this, even when an end date is mentioned there is no information in regards to which timezone or studios date and time we are to be using.. Adding both a countdown to the start and end of the sale within spectrum would solve this. (I do understand the exact end time isnt always set in stone but any information is better then none) Events: Similar to the issues with Studio times however these count downs would be easier to keep track of when doing a Concierge/Subscription live cast or Happy Hour event. This would also allow for the ability to advertise special events like Citizen Con where it could link to the event info page. Set Reminder: Events with countdowns can have a reminder set which depending on notification settings will remind you when something will start/end with the Bell icon. Or it could send you an email reminding you the event starts in X hours or is about to start/end. Future applications: Orgs will be able to set events which would easily let people keep track of everything over different time zones helping ease confusion. Anyway, so that's my idea! Im sure there are more applications or perhaps a better way to display the information. But I hope with feedback from other citizens something like this can be implemented. Thanks for reading :blush:
