Hey, My org is using Spectrum as main form of contact but lately we are thinking about moving away from it. Generally it is a good platform but we have no way to notify our org members about planned events or meetings fast enough. The thing is, that If I want to organize an event say... 2 days from now, most of the people will not even know about it as they open spectrum like once per week to see what is going on. Other applications like discord, whatsapp, messanger and so on have ability to push notifications directly to the phone, so if anything important is happening we have ability to notify people about it. Spectrum is web only which makes it much less useful. Currently we have ongoing discussion about "Quick notification channel", but honestly, If I have to use TS for voice outside and inside game, Spectrum for forum and chat... and Discord for notifications... well.. at some point we will reduce that to one solution, and Spectrum will not be it. Spectrum is available for years and is still missing very important features: - global notifications like @channel, @everyone and so on. - ability to jump to the place in chat that the notification originated from. Try finding notification to see the context of it if it was sent 2 days ago... good luck. - phone app which will push notifications (depending on app/channel settings) - ability to post pictures in chat and forum without hosting them first on third party sites - pictures actually being displayed in chat instead of displaying empty frame - bug fixes - why is that one channel that no one has contributed to for 3 months highlighted as containing something new? This bug is frustrating and persists for years. I am truly afraid that once we start using discord for notifications we will also start using it for other things and stop using spectrum, and that would be a shame as platform has potential.
