I know this is a forum mostly for adults, where we are allowed to used adult language. I also know that as adults, nobody should be getting their feelings hurt over a few emojis. I get that. But I don't feel like certain hostile emojis are adding anything positive to the Spectrum experience, at all. On a forum where you (rightfully) get suspended or banned for saying "Fuck you" to other members, I don't understand why we need a "Fuck you" emoji that can be used as a reaction to other people's threads. I get that it's just a tiny picture, but it just creates a hostile atmosphere and it's frankly a very childish way of expressing disagreement. It's not constructive. I would like to get rid of the poop-emoji and the middlefinger-emoji both, as I feel like they contribute to a hostile atmosphere. While we are mostly adults, adults should be able to express their disapproval in a better way than using cartoon pictures of actual shit. Even a thumbs down emoji, while negative, is better than emojis that are directly hostile and rude. And while other emojis can be used to express disapproval, it's usually more benign than basically telling someone to go fuck themselves. Cheers. :slightly_smiling_face: Emojis displayed below, for illustration purposes.
