Short question: Is there anyone working on Spectrum anymore, and if yes, how many devs and how many hours? More detail: I hate to do this, because i really dislike discord, but... Discord was invented by a small game dev company that simply didnt like the avaible VoIP solutions, so they made their own from scratch. They started in late 2014 and released discord in May 2015. Took them half a year, with just a hand full devs. No skill in developement of VoIP, no dedicated Web-Team... Half a freaking year! I'm sure those two systems have their own unique developement hurdles... But those Spectrum devtimes just dont add up. Spectrum was released 3 Years ago. Still... Markup supports are a joke from the past Media layouting looks like something out of the 7th circle of hell No Message system to write to groups or the whole org Org features (because spectrum is even better than a promised org 2.0) => None existent Rights management range gives you almost no options for complex administration No Polls, and no other features like the countless ones on other platforms Cannot set thumbnail manually Bookmark alert highlighting broken since the beginning Recently they fu**d up the session so you have to relogin again and again... Its no rocket science... Its a god damn session. Load a freaking backup if you cant get it fixed. And just in general, too many bugs to count. Updates: Spectrum 4.0.0 - Nov. 21 2019 Spectrum 3.8.0 - July. 5 2018 Spectrum 3.7.x - April. 17 2018 Spectrum 3.7.0 - November. 23 2017 Spectrum 0.3.6 - September. 14 2017 Last two updates are almost 17 month apart! Thats about three times the whole discord devtime for one update with almost no features! This is not "something that has never been done before" The website and spectrum are the public face of CIG, Oh god... The website... I really dobt that a dedicated and professional web developement team is working on spectrum. It simply cant be. If you stopped working on spectrum, just communicate it. I now eagerly await "you have no idea how webdevelopement works" comments from people who know how to boot their pc and google stuff.
