I tried the UBO picker for blocking elements, but it only removes the contents (##.c-sidebar-copyright), not the space-wasting field itself that reduces the space for my bookmarks list. I would imagine it is still possible with UBO, but probably needs more through code tweaking than the picker tool allows.
