I run a large 1,500+ member Org and we are constantly getting new members. The old messaging system was terrible but at least worked at a basic (albeit frustrating) level. Spectrum on the other hand is not serving us much at all. It's okay for a chat and basic forum system but the main complaint for me is in regards to messaging my membership. I have sent out many dozens of private messages to new members and exactly ONE has been answered. This means that users are not getting notified sufficiently of new messages. I want to be able to organize events and to tell members important information. I should be able to do this. But unless the members specifically log into Spectrum and see the little notification icon and click it, they aren't going to see my message. What needs to happen is that members of our Org by DEFAULT should always get an email notification of a waiting PM. I also need to be able to send out mass messages to the Org members by rank/group membership. This is useful for leader groups when we are trying to organize an event. There should also be more of a visible notification of a pending PM on the Spectrum page. But the email notification is essential. I understand the need to control spam, so of course we should have options to turn the emails off. But it needs to be on by default at least for PM's from Orgs you are in if not all PMs. PLEASE make this happen! As 3.0 comes out we want to actually have organized events with contests and such to ramp up the interaction and excitement about the game. Please CIG, stop ignoring the needs of the Org leaders. My members have well over 2 million dollars worth of ships and Org leaders can literally MAKE content and action for their members. But I can't do that if I can't even communicate with the membership.
