I think that replies to Issue Council (IC) reports should show up in Spectrum notifications. I haven't heard anything about this previously, but I would love to see this feature added. I think it would help people test because it would continue to bring people back to their IC reports, so they can respond to other people and continue the bug discussion. Sometimes an IC poster is slightly incorrect in the steps and people who confirm or deny the report help to work the kinks out of the bug report. I generally keep a tab open for each of my most recent bug reports, so that I can keep track of the process. It would be nice to close the tab and instead be notified on Spectrum when someone either confirms, denies, or invalidates my report. We have the ability to track threads in Spectrum. If the topic is followed, then the user receives notifications when someone responds to the topic (even if the person following the topic never posted within it). Now, I would like to take it a step further and I would like to have the ability to follow Issue Council reports - even reports that are not my own. I know there are currently bookmarks that serve a similar, very basic purpose, but the functionality of the bookmarks in the Issue Council would be greatly improved with Spectrum notification integration. It would be great to have a notification and link to go directly to a specific Issue Council report when someone has confirmed, denied, or invalidated a report that I am tracking or following. We already have the bookmark option, so hopefully it's not ridiculously difficult to add the notification aspect that Spectrum provides. In fact, it would be kind of cool to have statistics for IC reporting - like in a person's public profile. These statistics would show how many IC reports the person has made, how many of those reports were confirmed, how many were invalidated, percentage of reports successfully confirmed, etc. I think it would serve two purposes: it would make it like a game where people try to have the best Issue Council statistics. Also, it would sort of hold people accountable for their IC reporting. If most of the person's IC reports are invalidated, it would show up in their public profile. Perhaps if the statistics were listed somewhere, there would be more people checking for duplicates prior to posting new IC reports and less people submitting reports just to have one more IC report under their belt. Either way, I think it would cause people to produce higher quality reports and reduce a lot of the excess clutter of duplicates and lower quality, frivolous reports. Would you like to see the ability to track or follow IC reports with notifications? What do you think about having some sort of Issue Council accountability?
