Feature requests Chat slow mode (One chat entry per user every x second so the chat isn't crushed when 10k people type during CitizenCon) Video poll on feed disconnect and information about that to the user (That way the site won't get crushed by people pressing F5 if the stream goes down) Page dark mode Remember theater mode preference (Keep your preference on page reload) Prevent people from posting URLs in chat Bugs Chat auto-scroll problems in IE When hiding chat and unhiding chat, the scroll is stuck where you hid it, and you have to scroll to the bottom manually for the auto-scroll to start working again (Will be a problem during CitizenCon since so many people will be typing) Other potential issues Retroactively hide messages from users who has been muted If someone types something bad in chat and is muted, that person's chat history should be removed from all client chats. This is how Twitch does it. Example: User spams swastika emojis in chat, when muted, all those emojis will be removed from the chat list. Stop chat communication when user hides chat Some browsers on low end systems perform poorly with large chats and will get performance issues if the chat updates too quickly, even if the chat element is hidden. By stopping the chat feed if the users opts for hiding the chat, or at least stop updating the chat element in the background, that should no longer be a problem. This is how Twitch does it, for all I know your system already supports this.
