to be clear... i want people to be able to post feedback to CIG and not have tom dick and harry chime in with their smartass white knight bullshit, emote spam, and whatever else. feedback, ideally, is one way across the table. from us, to you. its NOT a conversation amongst backers. basically, if someone (not just me) gives feedback on the game, they generally don't give a damn what other people think about it. then, if the feedback is a good idea or otherwise in line with where we're all going, CIG can choose to act on that feedback, or not, and that's fine. the white knight nonsense on this forum in particular somehow is LEAGUES above that of any other game i've seen.. and i've been gaming off and on since 2003. its becoming downright counterproductive and leads to all kinds of nonsense that i'm sure the mods would rather avoid entirely. so, a feedback thread would be a grand total of one post, which is then not open to replies from anyone who isn't a cig employee. other backers can still emote spam it (i think there's a case for removing those also, and just let threads be voted up/down) thereby giving a sense of whether something is popular or not. now...... i'm SURE all the white knights will emote spam this one, since if they cannot chime in with their pretentious holier-than-thou nonsense, they'll just have to sit there fuming... haha. fine. as above, they can still up or down vote, so the purpose is still served. lastly, some of these people might finally get off the forum full time and start playing SC, instead of just playing spectrum.
