Certain threads I like to follow are practically impossible now. Why? Well, I see there's "X new replies". Great, I click on it to go see the new comments. In a proper chronological thread, that's nice and easy and no problem. It takes you down to the latest comments. In a nested thread? Near impossible! I can't tell where the new comments are because of all the nested threads. For all I know the new comments are near the top in a reply to some other comment close to the top or somewhere dead center of the whole thread in a reply to a comment in the middle; or maybe even both! Why do I have to go fishing for the new comments? It's just silly. It's so much harder to keep track of new activity in these threads that I just lose interest in the topic and the discussion and just move on. Please please PLEASE just remove the option for nested threads completely. There's a reason I despise and never go to reddit, nested threads is that VERY major reason. It makes following threads as a whole, near impossible. Why does a thread, designed to have one central conversation, need to have multiple conversations going on thanks to the nested threads, anyway? Terrible. DO NOT WANT!
