The new UI introduced some bars at the top of the screen and really doesn't work well or offer much for Spectrum as a progressive web application (I basically have it as a PWA in Edge on Android and Windows). As a user, I preferred the previous feel of Spectrum as it didn't feel like I was on a website and in a PWA, it felt like it was its own thing like Discord, Slack etc. With these changes, it now feels more like a webpage and it wastes more space which is obnoxious on mobile and annoying on desktop as now I need to scroll more with the fast flow of chats in Spectrum.
