Why? Because they are pointless. They simply allow the toxic players to leave a drive-by bit of toxicity, instead of actually engaging in a constructive manner. Literally almost every single thread has multiple emojis that are just toxic. It adds nothing. And, it's almost always the same people using those emojis. It doesn't matter how good your thread starting post is, or how well thought out, etc., the same crowd will pounce on it, clicking on those negative emojis, but not making a case in a post, as to why they disagree. By removing the emojis, it would force these people to actually make an argument, if they feel so strongly about the topic.
