Spectrum is an awesome place, and the engagement here is top-notch, but I've noticed that some of the folks with very strong and frequent opinions on the current state of the game, I've never seen in-game. Should we have a system that rewards hours-in-game with points/standing toward Spectrum activity? Just so we can differentiate person A saying "this thing is bad/good, and I'm speaking from experience because I've tried it" from person B saying "I heard this thing somewhere from someone who heard it from somewhere and I am now an expert and hate it despite having no experience with the game since 3.0" Maybe SpectrumCredits? Everyone gets a base of X every month, gameplay accumulates them at Y/hr, and posting here costs Z 'credits'? Or a tiered and filterable karma-for-gameplay system? Just something to differentiate the "experts" from the experts. Some productive gatekeeping that will allow us to consider the source while forming opinions. More transparency, as it were. It would also help mitigate brigading from external sources, I'd think, and cut down on theory****ing like this. Anyway, just a thought. Bring on the emojis.
