So uh, what's happened to Spectrum search? It only goes back 1 year now. I think history is vital to a meaningful discussion and valuable feedback, especially when sometimes people put a lot of effort into feedback and then it gets lost to time with no proper way to find it. Initially we had the old forums, which to be honest had a poor search function. But at a minimum, it saved every single post a user made, and every single thread a user made. If you made a really complex thread of feedback, with diagrams and steps to reproduce and all that jazz...it would remain there anytime it needed to be referenced. Then we got Spectrum. The search function was far improved, but we still had a long history in the old forums. The old forums got archived and could no longer be used. And then eventually, the website broke and you could not access the old forums apart from WaybackMachine or other circuitous methods. Poof. Years of discussion, feedback, and community history gone. Okay, but we have a great new platform in Spectrum, and an even better search. But then search started to become limited to looking back 2 years. Yes, you could bookmark a thread (which I highly suggest you do, as well as archive a copy as sometimes Spectrum gets wonky and permissions, glitches, or any other number of issues could prevent access later on. For a long time I could not access my early Spectrum posts due to an emoji bug). But if you wanted to search another user's post history, look up dev posts, or simply find an older thread you made....nope. And now.... 1 year. 1 year is as far as Spectrum search seems to go. EDIT: Scratch that. It goes back 2 years. 2 out of 4+ years of Spectrum. What's going on?
