Generally speaking, the MOTD is the crucial piece of alpha testing game info that affects all Star Citizen players (old and new) and it's unfortunate that it's only visible in the #sc-testing-channel. Most new users (and a lot of long time backers) have no idea it exists. Wouldn't it be far more useful to have it visible at the top of all forums and subforums in Spectrum? This would be beneficial for a number of reasons: 1. Everyone that visits any forum or chat lobby in Spectrum can immediately see and reference the latest game updates. Within the MOTD are also links to Patch notes and server status. This will save everyone clicks. 2. Forum members (mostly) and moderation wouldn't have to constantly redirect people to sc-testing-chat MOTD to relay that info for the endless questions relating to game update and patch status we get asked on a daily basis about the latest hotfix, patch, or channel status. 3. It reinforces the fact that the game is still in Alpha Testing, which is important as a mental and a visual reminder for people that start new threads.
