I hope this is a lesson to you Turbulent! Relying on tags for any kind of sorting other than the most superficial sub-organization of unimportant sub-ideas, is a complete failure! We warned you! So here we are, with a page 1 General forum with nearly 95% threads about CCU's and no way to deal with it. And next month it will be 95% whatever the next unexpected dumb move CIG surprises onto the community, and again in the next month... BEFORE in the old forums that actually worked, we had multiple ways of organizing data to allow the community to continue to freely communicate- without falling back on any draconian arbitrary deletion of threads. There used to be SUBFORUMS where concern threads could be sent to. There used to be KATAMARIS where threads could be grouped into. MERGE THREADS needs to be implemented. IGNORE FUNCTIONS need to be implemented. Spectrum was no where near ready to have everyone forced into here to use it-- it is like early buggy alpha for a forum, when we already had a perfectly fine working forum. I can't even view images on mobile without them going half off screen in Spectrum. Why the hell would you program that, somebody had to!? Tags are pretty much the opposite of something that helps you organize ideas. And half the time, it would be more useful to be able to view the forums with a filter: TAGGED THREADS REMOVED, so that people can read what an actual general forum is supposed to look like. But even that SIMPLE fix is not implemented into Spectrum. I'll say it again. The general forum is for GENERAL conversation. it is NOT a place where people go to read specific topics, with stupid tags on them. So the best use of tags, is to filter OUT any threads which have a tag on them, in order to see where the general topic threads are to read. TL;DR I WANT to read general threads. I do NOT WANT to read threads with tags on them. Please make a filter for that! PS: and thank GOD I remembered to hit the chronological button this time, the stupid nested default setting is maddening! The reader should be the one to choose if they want to read a thread in failed sad nested mode or glorious successful chronological mode, not the thread creator!
