Yes, I know there is a Spectrum Feedback section, but there's a single dev reply there in threads posted over the last two months, so I decided to post here instead. If it gets moved, it gets moved, but we need some playerbase support for this, so that we can at least get properly working forums in the midst of a "no features" year (and the chance that next year may be the same) in the game. There have been some long-standing issues that have been fixed over the recent years (YouTube video embeds no longer being thumbnail-sized, etc), but there are others that are still there. I have collected seven of these issues with UI/functionality, fixing of which would improve the experience significantly. If others have more cases, please contribute by mentioning them below. 1: The sidebar not being collapsible This wastes about 1/6 of the screen space for no reason. The only way to get rid of it is to zoom in on the page to a degree where it disappears, but by that point you're so far zoomed in that there's no screen space left for other things. Give us the option to collapse the sidebar. 2. All replies in nested chains adding to indentation to a point where reply bodies are squished to the very corner of the screen, and then you need to click the "continue this thread" link to open the remaining chain in a separate screen This produces incredible waste of screen space, and also prevents you from seeing previous replies once you click that link for a new screen. The only workaround to this is to switch to the classic view, but that then lacks the simple visual presentation of context of each thread. Many modern forums have simple solutions to this - only the first reply having indentation, and then the rest having easy ways to tell which post they are made in response to (coloured thread lines, etc), and so on 3. The reply window taking up a small space initially, but then increasing in height to the point where you can't see the post you're replying to, and the "resize" button at the top is not resizing it in either direction And this issue is made even worse on smaller screens - laptops, etc. The solution would be to 1) Have the reply window take up a consistent vertical size so that you can still see most of the post you're replying to while typing there, and 2) Make the resize button work for the reply window 4. Placeholders for posts by blocked users I don't think anyone wants to see if someone they have added to their block list has posted in a thread, especially in reponse to them. Let's have an option to get rid of these placeholders entirely 5. Threads by blocked users being shown If you block someone, that's arguably because you think their posts/attitude/style doesn't contribute to the idea of good-faith, constructive, respectful, curious conversation on the forums, so you probably don't want to see their threads anymore either. No need to be showing these
