Hey, I have a suggestion for Spectrum to implement a "Spectrum-based event sign up form & page with controls for organizers". This is due to "Website rules standard of conduct" (https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/1/thread/website-rules-standard-of-conduct) stating in paragraph 10. CONTESTS & EVENTS rule 10. (h) Must not require people to register or visit 3rd party websites or communicate outside this website (including Skype or email). This means that as of now there is no way to properly sign up any VIPs, teams, and staff to the events because due to that rule "Google Forms" and any other 3rd party sign-up forms are not allowed. Where they can state what is their team size, ingame names, what ships/vehicles they wish to use, acknowledge that they have read through the events rules & information sheet and are ready to enter, what are their team colors and so on. The only way atm for a participant to enter is to send a Private Message to the organizer or write under the post (which is not good for the signed-up team, due to it being public). The current rule really hinders the process of signing up event participants and the ease of contacting and organizing them after signing up. Especially if 3rd Party solutions are not allowed. Very time-consuming to set up events atm. Also, the Private Messages amount on the left side of the spectrum is too low and you can only display so many private messages and have to manually look through each one to figure out who is who. With a form, you could send any necessary info to everyone who has signed up instead of having to go through everyone manually. Suggestion: A separate section on Spectrum for all fan-made Citizen events, where you can search for events, sign up for them, and create new events. Spectrum based sign up form creation: Have the "Google Forms" styled setup where you can just freely add as many necessary areas/boxes as you need. Title, max amount of participants and extras, add participants (through spectrum), ships, vehicles, questions, multiple-choice, checkboxes, dropdown lists, images, videos, mark certain answers necessary, date, time, new sections, etc. For the event organizers: 0. Most important - Event organization page for as many events as you need. (make new, copy, paste, archive your own or organization-based events, add rules and info page or link to google sheets which allows for a lot more text, add event tags for racing, FPS, ship combat, etc.) 1. Have the ability to add extra event organizers to help out with the event. 2. Have the ability to send messages to all or selected entered teams, people, team leaders, etc. all at once to notify them about event updates and so on. 3. Have the ability to organize entries by your specific roles which you can make as many as you need for the event on your own during event creation. 4. Ability to add extra roles after the event was created and posted onto Spectrum if you all of a sudden need a food truck person or an extra referee for example. 5. Be able to add every participant as a friend from the event organization page with one button click or checkboxes behind people, instead of manually having to search them up and send it. 6. Smart sign-up form. If someone wants to sign up as VIP they only have to select that, add their name or something else needed, and be done. So they don't have to fill out the form part which is needed for signing up a 4 person team for example. 7. Mark teams or people who can definitely, maybe join the event. Remove participants if they say that they can't join. Ban troublemakers from signing up for the event. And maybe some other features too like reinviting the participants from the previous same event to the new event as well. etc. All this would feed into a separate Spectrum section like "Citizen events" or something like that. In the end, this would ease up the process of fan-based event creation, make it easier to search for events, have the ability to control your event as you wish to, contact participants with ease, and most of all keep it all spectrum based to comply with that rule.
