"The Shipyard" is already becoming difficult to read, because it requires two levels of filtering, and relies too much on user input. To find threads, first I have to choose "The Shipyard" subforum. THEN I also have to select the appropriate tag filter. And that's assuming the people tagged their posts correctly. To make a thread, in the old system I selected the forum and hit "New Post". Now, I have to do those same steps AND apply the appropriate tag at the end. The more steps you have to take, the more likely you are to have some user error or missed steps, which means more threads will be lost, which means more conversations are not being had. This is extremely non-intuitive. That's not what tags are for! Tags should be for conveying the type of thread: Question, Concern, Tips & Tricks, Creative, etc. Having a Shipyard forum is a start, but it needs to be further subdivided. It's still a mess.
