I don't want people to see my karma. Nor do I see it being that useful on the threads/Spectrum. It would be an epeen moment and if people are on the site for enough years they will have high karma, and not be related to them being helpful contributors. New community members might possibly never catch up or be accurately represented for their efforts. Unless there is a way to wipe, hide, or down vote karma won't mean much. If getting a ban reset the karma to zero that might be useful, as people run the risk of losing 'standing' in the community. Even that would run the risk of giving people false impressions because it's simply a matter of time until people get banned for something if they are active enough. Then we would have to deal with people obsessed with karma and a whole new wave of pointless topics or click baits.
