The tech stack driving these forums is kinda junk being as polite as possible. I think its easier to just leverage existing forum technology. Most of the modern forums can link in game character accounts no problem. Things that irritate me with these forums 1. No way to create a poll. This is forum 101 tech. 2. Replies to a post get nested in weird ways. If you click notifications to read a comment it never goes to that comment and you have to search the spaghetti thread for the response. 3. You can write up a post then go fact something on a different Web page to return here to find your post is wiped. By default all forums save incomplete posts to drafts this one does not. 4. Outages. This forum goes down more often than most sexualy active couples. If it's not going down it's often slow with a spinning blur wheel of death or you get a "red" "did you try turning it off and on again notice" 5. Editing doesn't always work sometimes you have to hit save twice. Sometimes saving your post spectrum decides to omit the last 1-5 words on your post it does this to me all the time and then my post looks even more retarded than it normally does. 6. I don't think you can see who liked or hated your post. I'm probably doing it wrong but this should be easy to do (usually just by clicking in each symbol should tell you who put a baby bottle or fire icon on the post.
