Hello CIG, We have noticed changes regarding access to player RSI profiles, such as https://robertsspaceindustries.com/citizens/XXX. One must now be logged in to view profiles, which creates difficulties. Many organizations and communities use user verification by asking players to write a code in their short bio, linking their profile to for a ex Discord account. This change is a significant issue for larger organizations, as it forces manual role assignment and verification. The value of automatic verification lies in community safety. Knowing who all the Discord users are helps maintain secure communities. Without this, many of our community safety services simply won't be operational. Our questions to you are: Was this change made by mistake? If not, do you plan to publish an API or connector for RSI account logins? Why were we not given any advance notice of this change? Why was there no public notice of this change, even after the fact? Thank you for your time and consideration
