Reported as solved: The issue has been fixed on Turbulents end. The session cookie should now be valid for 30 days without the need to apply this workaround. Some users seem to be effected by a bug that causes them to be logged out of Spectrum the moment they close their browser, despite setting the "Remember Me" flag. This thread is for those who experience this. I'll describe how you can edit your cookies within your browser, so that they do not expire so soon. Everything you need to do, can be done within the browser of your choice. I'll cover Chrome (this includes the new version of the Microsoft Edge browser) and Firefox in my steps. If you run another browser please search the internet on how to emulate what I describe here. They should all offer a similar functionailty. For mobile browsers: Please don't ask me. WARNING: If you visit your RSI profile /settings page (and everything related to that), the cookie might be reset to the default set by Turbulent. If that is the case, you'll need to apply the following changes again. There are two cookies which expire the moment you close your browser session. They are named Rsi-Token and Rsi-XSRF. The RSI-Token is the one we need to modify. Step 1 Log in on Spectrum. Step 2 Open the developer tools of your browser. (Firefox = F12 key; Chrome = CTRL+SHIFT+i). Step 3 Firefox Go to the Memory tab and open it. (Potential other names: Storage, Web-Memory) Chrome Go to the Applications tab and open it. Step 4 Select Cookies from the menue on the left. From the entries popping up then select https://robertsspaceindustries.com You should now see a list of all the cookies for the website. For all cookies you should see an expiration date of some kind. https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/storage/cookies https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42011964/how-to-edit-or-remove-cookies-in-firefox-devtools Locate the cookie mentioned above (Rsi-Token). Notice how it expires at session end. Lets change this. Step 5 Doubleclick on the expiration value of the cookie. Enter a date of your own choice. If you are in doubt about the format, you can simply copy and paste a date from one of the other cookies. Don't worry about the other cookies that already expired in the past. They are of no concern to us. Step 6 Close the developer tools and restart your browser, ending your session. You should now still be logged into Spectrum. If you can't figure it out how to do this with the dev-tools, despite my description here, I am deeply sorry for having failed you. In that case there might be cookie editors as plug-ins for your browser that could potentially provide easier access and modification. Please use the add-on search function of your browser to find them. Please let others know if this workaround helped or if it failed, or even if you found a different solution. Unconfirmed: Login to Spectrum via the RSI Launcher is supposed to set the cookie properly. Edit: added a few words that the Chrome solution also applies to the new version of MS-Edge. Edit 2: I have seen some reports that for some users they may still need a fresh login after a few days. As I can't reproduce that behavior, I hope that someone else will find out how this is caused. Edit 3: The issue in Edit 2 might be related to visiting the RSI profile /settings page. It's a known bug that this might reset your session cookie. I've added a warning to reflect that.
